It is not ours.
This year the school my son attends upgraded all of the students computers. Last year we were issued a regular computer and monitor. There wasn’t anything special we had to do with computer and we were not barred from using it for personal use. This year we were issued a laptop computer that is “locked down”. This has been a bit of an adjustment for my son. We are now required to log into the school network each day. This enables us to make us of the school’s online backup, system security updates, and other things. What it does not allow us to do is install software or just browse the internet. His computer usage is monitored and recorded. I am fine with this because it isn’t our computer. He is still coming to grips with the fact that he can’t just randomly visit Nickelodeon or Disney online.
