Annoying habit.

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Have you ever known someone who had to tell you how much everything they buy cost them? This has to be one of the most annoying habits a person can have in my opinion. Maybe it is because I never have had expensive things and there is a little part of me that is jealous. I really don’t want to know that your Patek Philippe watch cost. I am one of those people who appreciates beautiful things whether they are free or cost a million dollars. I recognize I probably have a touch of this habit my self to a degree. My problem is I love telling people about bargains I get. I am working on this habit because I am starting to recognize it is just as annoying. You probably really don’t want to know that I spent $50 on groceries that cost you $150 do you? I am sorry if I have annoyed you and I am trying to mend my ways.

Does anyone actually bake it?

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

Fund raiser cookie dough that is. Who really bakes the stuff. This delightful little tub of wonder was made for only one thing in my book. It was designed by a mommy who needed a secret stash of cookie dough on tap. Buy a tub and hide it in the back of the freezer. It is there whenever you need it and far safer than baking a few dozen cookies. You can only eat so much raw cookie dough but it is easy to pack away a handful of the real thing. I admit that I buy a tub every year and have never baked a single cookie and unless someone finds my stash I never will.

Give your opinion on movies and more.

Before I go to see a movie or rent a DVD I like to read what other people have to say about the film. For the most part I feel professional movie critics tend to see movies entirely different from the average person. Most of the “critically acclaimed” movies I have seen left me wondering if there was something I missed or didn’t get. That is why I like to read reviews on sites like CriticsRant.com. Critics Rant gives readers the chance to read reviews and comments written by average people. Not only can you find movie reviews but there are also reviews of tv shows and video games. CriticsRant.com is a great place to find lively movie discussions and entertaining comments. You might even score a free DVD just for giving your opinion!

Take the stress of out moving

Monday, July 9th, 2007

One of the things I dread most in life is having to move. It wasn’t so bad when it was just my husband and myself relocating but it is entirely different with children. Because we have both been in school for most of our adult lives we have moved far more than you average family. In order to complete training, internships, or fellowships we have moved well over a dozen time in the last 15 years. Even though I consider myself a fairly detailed person when it comes to planning a move there is always something I overlook. That is why I love online services like Relocation.com.

Relocation.com makes planning a move as simple as a few clicks of your mouse. They leave no stone unturned when it comes to planning a move. Relocation.com can assist anyone with literally any aspect of moving. There is absolutely no reason to look elsewhere when you are researching moving companies, apartments, real estate, or jobs. It doesn’t matter if you are moving across the country or around the world this site has the information you need. Even complicated tasks like arranging auto transport or arranging international shipping are a breeze using this incredible site. Even the most experienced movers, like myself, overlook something and find themselves in race to take care of something at the last minute. By using Relocation.com you can easily eliminate that last minute moving stress by knowing that every detail has been taken care of.

Making Melbourne Affordable

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

One country my husband and I have always wanted to visit is Australia. For quite some we have been saving in hopes of making this dream a reality. It looks like we may be able to visit sooner rather than later because I just discovered incredible accommodation options that make visiting Melbourne much more affordable than I had anticipated. In the process of searching for “Accomodation in Melbourne” I discovered a service that allows you to book accommodations at 25,000 properties worldwide at savings that are far superior to what hotels charge. Not only can you book accommodations well in advance of a vacation you can also book last minute stays at your choice of hotels, hostels, and apartments. Maybe we will see Australia for our 17th anniversary instead of our 20th thanks to www.cheaperthanhotels.com!

Home Over Overhaul

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Now that I am working from home I am beginning to realize the sad state my home office is in. It has been about 5 years since we purchase our office chair and desk. In that time we have moved half a dozen times and attended school via distance learning. When we purchase the furniture our primary concern was price and not quality. Combine these points and let’s just say our office furniture has taken a beating. I have decide that the time has come to look into new office furniture. This time I am looking not just at price but also quality.

GreatPricedFurniture.com offers an array of high quality furniture for every room of the home or office. In one easy to navigate and well designed site I was able to quickly an easily locate exactly the style of office furniture I have been looking for. I am a fan of Lane furniture and love that on this site I can shop not only by type of furniture category but also manufacturer. Another nice feature is being able to shop by collection. I am keenly eying an American View bedside table that would match the rest of my American View bedroom furniture. This site only gets better with great offers like no interest financing, international shipping, and a 30 day money-back guarantee.

GreatPricedFurniture has so many products to chose from I am going to have a hard time choosing new office furniture.
